I've just signed this petition...

http://email.change.org/mpss/c/owA/SCE/t.1oe/3W-eT...

...wherein it appears that our right to "Freedom of Panorama" is under threat.

I have to admit that I've not done any deep research to ascertain the truth of it. Safe to say that I signed the petition to be "on the safe side", so to speak.

It's crazy bonkers that simply publishing your holiday snaps onto social media sites could land you in trouble with the law. Sheeeee-ite like this is enough to turn even the most committed Europhile to UKIP!

Haven't these bloody MEPs and bureaucrats got enough on their plates with the Greek finance crisis, Mediterranean migration and the ever present threat from extremist terror groups? rolleyes

"On the “freedom of panorama” principle, such as the right to create and share images and photographs of public buildings, the text cautions that the commercial use of such reproductions should require authorization from the rightholder."

Note the words, "commercial use".
