Range Rover - that thought in the back of your mind - When is some part of the electrics going to have a hissy fit.
First question anyone asks me when I tell them I drive a Land Rover is "so what's gone wrong with it?" The answer I give them is "nothing."They are complex machines but they work most of the time and if you find a local independent (there are loads), everything can be fixed quite cheaply.
If you want one, get one. They're fabulous.

Fiesta ST. Look like good, cheap and economical fun. Really struggle with the image, though.
My best friend just bought one. On the face of it, he's a studious, Belgian, balding, beetle-browed, short, mild-mannered, thoughtful, high flying, BBC talking heading, footsie 250 CEOing, sensible chap.He drives his ST like he stole it.
LOl I've got a defender, its OK for driving off road, but there are better off road vehicles. On road as every day vehicle its terrible.
MM Range Rover reliability, place I work for 2 of the owners have RR and RRS, both 6 months old, both this week had a hissy fit with electronics, after sitting 8 hours in the sun, one AC wont work and center console inoperable. Other one, just would not start. LR came out did lots of test and software updates, didn't work, so 2 loan RR while the faulty 2 left on a low loader

I don't know if a 348 would beat your 5ltr Chim in a drag race but I know they go around corners a lot quicker than a standard setup Chimaera. We had a 4ltr Chim and a 1993 348ts. The 348 was like a go-cart compared to the Chimaera, it was an amazing car to drive. It was popular at one point to slag them off but the later ones with the revised suspension mount points fixed the twitchiness and created a fabulous car. We both wish we still owned ours (circumstances prevented us from keeping it).
My 5 has much more grip than my 4 - don't know if it is a set up issue or what but I do agree the 4 was a little boat like at times - every now and again she'd turn in like a beast, but more often than not...... But I can take a corner at about 60-65 in my 5 that was about 45-50 or so in the 4 with a little understeer..... I'd be quite happy with an F430 or 458 though, should my lottery numbers ever come up...

Most BMW's - E46 M3, E36 328i, E63 6 series, E92 335i.. Far too chav/Birmingham
Some of you are way too self-conscious. Unless in a wacky colour, the vast majority of people wouldn't even look twice unless at any of those cars.
I've been driving around in an old E39 V8 the past year, aside from a few petrolheads I've given lifts to, nobody has even mentioned it. It's just a car.

Here's my old Model A. I sold it on years ago. But, it's still taxed and on the road somewhere.
Looks nice, I like the wheels. while I expect it was no Lotus Elise; what was it like to drive with regards handling? My ultimate street rod would be one of these. A '34 Vicky. I need that front grill in my life.
A few for me classic mini which I hope I will tick off sooner rather than later. Porsche 924 I'd love one but they must be 30 years old now which worries me also a Porsche 928 because they look incredible but so many reasons why I will never own one. Those are the ones I could afford I could list hundreds that I'd like to own but can't afford and could never afford.

RX-8
I still think they look great after all these years but the rotary puts me off. And I'm rubbish with hammers and spanners, so I couldn't fit a boxer engine without paying someone else to do so.
This. It's a real shame they're so unreliable. But then again, if they were more reliable, they wouldn't be as cheap. Swings and roundaboutsI still think they look great after all these years but the rotary puts me off. And I'm rubbish with hammers and spanners, so I couldn't fit a boxer engine without paying someone else to do so.
