I'll save you £9k and tell you what it will be like. It will be quick.Anyway for me -
996 911 turbo - I would like one, but I think they are too pricey for what they are.
TVR Sagaris - as above.

Many people are finding out the cars, they wanted are now out of there reach due to the classic market rise in value.
If I have not got mine, in 07 it would be out of my reach these days if I wanted to buy it now.

Defender - as above love the looks and image but would use it twice then quickly get bored
Impreza RB5 - loved my old turbo, can easily afford one, a good one must be a dead cert to increase in value. But not quite civilised enough to use a daily driver for me these days, and not quite special enough to replace my Elise. Every time I see one I can't help but lust after it. Think I might regret this choice in 10 years time

Ferrari 308, 348 and 355 - lovely to look at, but just so slow it is disappointing...
An Exige - missus won't let me nor another Elise.
Pagani Zonda - even if I won 100m on the Euromillions, I would struggle to justify the price.
Slow, really? Not wishing to pick a fight, but none of the Ferrari's you list are exactly slow, and if speed is the only criteria for choosing a car then with respect you might be missing out of some automotive gems chap. They are loverly to drive and own as well didn't you know?An Exige - missus won't let me nor another Elise.

Sadly, pretty much all of 'em.
I've reached a stage where I can afford almost any car but my lifestyle and geography is such that I'd never get any worthwhile use out of them.
I live in the South East and I'm lucky if I can use the full performance of a 2.0 Mondeo.
I do own motorcycles with wildly impractical performances, but spending under £10k with minimal Road Tax and servicing I can do myself is chump change vs spending thousands in depreciation to do bugger all miles a year.
To put it in perspective, a mate of mine has a beautiful 911 which he's owned for the past 10 years. And he'd like to sell it to me for a (relatively) bargain price because he's only managed about 500 miles a year. But I wouldn't buy it because I'd do exactly the same – and I think that cars should be driven.
I'm not doing PH right, am I?

Well, sub 5 seconds to 60 to me is acceptable. Don't get me wrong, I'd buy a DB7 Volante despite that speed issue, BUT the problem is for a Ferrari, it has to be feckin' fast - F430 speeds i.e. matching/beating my TVR.moribund said:
