These still look fresh today, I would have had one over my GT if they weren't so bloody impractical.

The 456GT. It's the most well-packaged 2+2 ever. It still makes me weak when I see it now.

Great design, but it's amazing how older cars look so under wheeled nowadays.
And yet I'd say the opposite in that these look better without stupid 22" rims and liquorice strip tyres.

Yeah, I'd say 'correctly wheeled' smile

+2.

The truly stunning cars are always older with proper wheels, not stupid giant rims.

No, you are indeed correct, it's just that every car nowadays has to have oversized wheels to carry the design off, so you get used to that look. I bet that ferrari is on 16's there.

ferrari 456GT:
front wheels 17.0 x 8.5 in
rear wheels 17.0 x 10.0 in
front tire size F 255/45ZR-17
rear tire size R 285/40ZR-17

1 inch out then, a lot of supercar's now run on 20's which is a big difference. Look at a 14in wheel compared to a 17. My car runs on 17's but needs 18's to look better/right, something I'm not prepared to do as the ride can be bad enough as it is.

I really like the Fiat Coupe too - a weird one perhaps, I know, but I think it looks great, although I'm not too sure how much they had to do with that one, as I'm sure Chris Bangle was involved too.
Bangle designed the exterior and Pininfarina the interior.
