Folks what's the opinion on what discounts will be available on the LCi 3 series? The previous model had hefity discounts of about £8500 on the higher end models. I'd be looking at a 340i tourer, do you think there's a chance these discounts will still be available?

If not it'll make buying a second hand C63 AMG an easier decision!

Yep, I've just managed a 21% discount on my LCI order through a main dealer. The two dealers that I spoke to before I placed my order said that they were not differentiating between old and new.

Remarkably, my choice came down to two cars as well, a new BMW or a used C63!

The wife! She really wasn't into it at all on so many levels but her overriding argument was why buy a used car when you could buy a new one which logically is hard to disagree with. However, and no matter how much I banged on about the V8 lump, she wouldn't have it so I had to let the idea go. In truth, I would have had to make a few compromises to have the C63 which wouldn't have lasted beyond a year so in the end the BMW was probably the more sensible choice if not as exciting as the roaring, bellwoing monster that I could have had!

I had a 335i before and loved it, maybe a 340i will make most sense?!

Only you can decide old boy! I must admit though that once you managed to look beyond the stupidness that lay under the bonnet of the C63, the interior was looking a bit dated. Still a nice place to sit but I really didn't like the small sat nav screen and just knew it would start to annoy me eventually. The other thing was the all in one tailgate. We have a Spaniel and the ability to open up just the tailgate window to give her a tickle under her chops is a winner for us and not having that would have been a royal pain in the hoop.

Choices choices!

How hard was it to get this level of discount ? I am thinking on a 4 series and can't get close to this figure

Not that difficult really, I was just upfront with what I wanted and knowing what I could get elsewhere. I also saw them just before the quarter end so that may have helped as well. That said, I suspect the discounts available on a 4 rather than a 3 may not be as competitive because of demand and the fact that the 3 is a core model. For example, demand for X3s are high and there are virtually no discounts available. I'm not sure you'd ever get to a 21% discount on a 4 to be honest, happy to be proved wrong of course!

Yes - seen these, but wonder if same discounts can be had on 4 series as 3 series.

On the 435i Gran Coupe spec - its gets upto a list price of c£46.5k with Msport pack etc - with these sites discounts of £6,750 can be had.

This is under 15% - so wondering if the 21% discounts can be had? This would be closer to £10k....which would results in an order:-)

Anyone any info - if so please email me or share.
