So it would appear BMW have sacked off Castrol as their choice oil and have moved to Shell, Shell Helix Ultra Racing 10w-60.

Has anyone made the move yet and if so where are you sourcing it? Opie? And is the level of use any different at all less/more?

I'm due brake fluid this month but I'm going to get the oil changed while it's in with them.

Cheers

Well Castrol Edge 10w60 has been replaced with Castrol Edge Titanium,

On the back of it, it still says exclusive approval for BMW M cars

Haha....honestly how do some people find employment, let alone at offical dealerships!

Off topic, the F10 M5 uses 0w30 oil and is the first M car since the E46 M3 do have deviated away from 10w60.

It's amazing isn't it!

Don't judge me but I wnt to look at an i3 the other week, 15 minutes moochingg about it and nobody had approached me so I went and asked for some help, 15 minutes later I asked again, 15 minutes later they realised the one person that knew about them was offsite so I asked for the key so I could see if I fit in it (i'm lanky), 15 minutes later the guy returned to say the chap that was offsite had the key with him.
