Was always a fan growing up and can't stand Grimmy so should be interesting.

Is XFM on DAB? If so, it looks like I'll be getting a DAB car radio. wink

Must have been one hell of a non compete clause in his old bbc contract!

What has he been doing for the last 3 years?

Can't say I'm a fan of Moyles. Hopefully his new show will bring something new and not be repetitive like he was on Radio 1.

I've no idea why Grimshaw is so well supported by the BBC, he's annoying. Worse still to read he's going to be on X Factor as well.

Hmmm. XFM has always been about the music not the DJ;s, not convinced this is a good move tbh.

Didn't he quit to take a lead role in the West End?

Amusingly low viewing figures for someone who is (was?) a household name, with millions of Twitter followers.

I think his problem is that he is not naturally charming, so his tv efforts always fall flat, but he can get away with it for short bursts between songs on the radio (and with a 'crew' of co-hosts backing him up).

Never ceases to amaze me how people come onto a thread simply to say that they don't like the subject of the thread and don't partake in it.

I've never felt the need to go into the Coronation Street thread to announce to everyone that I don't watch the programme.

It's a shame in a way, Jon Holmes is terrific. I've not been able to listen to XFM since I left London at the start of the year, was anything said about this on air?

It never ceases to amaze me the poeple who feel that all threads must be harmonious and unanimous in their opinions.

Sorry everyone, you can't participate in this thread unless you are a fan or like the subject.

It's a forum that is littered with opinion and cannot actually run unless someone has one.

I too don't like the unfat prick, sorry for spoiling the thread.

Where did I say that?

What I said was that it seems strange to come into a thread simply to say that you don't listen to the radio station in question and don't like Chris Moyles. Well, um, great. That's nice for you. Good job you don't listen to the radio station then.

You appear to be implying that in order to engender lively debate, we should all make a point of visiting every single thread that we have no interest in, merely to say "I have no interest in this st?". confused

This news made me happy, not because I am Moyles fan, but the fact that I think the current XFM guy Jon Holmes is terrible and will welcome the change.

I knew he'd lost some weight, but Jesus, he is hardly recognisable!

Is it just me, but does he look older because of the weight loss?

Can't stand Grimmy - how did he even get where he is today? He can't mix music, present a show or at the very least tell a joke.

I listen to R1 when Grimmy is temporarily replaced by other hosts (like this week) but otherwise avoid it. I'd listen to the new Moyles show but I really think that worked because of the team around him, comedy Dave etc. Without them it could be rather different.
