Creaky clutch

I have noticed my R56 MCS has a creaky clutch. I can only hear it when stopped with the window open. I also noticed the car sounded a bit rattle /buzzy when engaging the clutch when Pulling away. The clutch has always been a bit 'tricky' and there is a knack to pulling away/ changing 1/2/3 smoothly. I always considered this a 'characteristic' rather than a problem, as it was like this when I first bought the car (used approved.) and it usually takes me a few journeys to dial in to any different cars characteristics. Is this normal, or ,might I have an issue. I have a service booked anyway, but have never really trusted garages not just to suck their teeth and say" that'll be a new clutch." I assume it won't be covered by the warranty as a clutch would be considered wear and tear. Car has done 35,000mi

As a separate thing, anyone know what a main dealer charges for front pads on these?
