I just ordered some more Protein from Myprotein as my first batch is depleting rapidly and after a rough week with tendonistis and feeling crappy I am picking it up a bit harder than I was.

Anyway, for £4.19 there was some Creatine so I thought sod it, one of my sons mates swears by it so for four quid I thought its worth a try but all I know if it enables you to handle a bit more weight in short bursts, sort of muscle nitro which then enables you to make better gains ?

Am not trying to be a monster just slimmer, toned, with a bit of muscle.

So, does it work will it make me grow (bigger) tits, st through the eye of the needle, bark at the moon etc ?

When do you take it, how much ?

Doesn't work for everybody but certainly works for me.

I have taken it off and on for since it first made an appearance in the early 90s and every loading phase I put on about 5-7 pounds in weight and feel bigger (fuller) and can lift more. If you are a distance runner the added weight and the heavy leg effect will certainly be counter-productive though.

My way is usually 5g 4 times a day for 5 days with some simple carbs then 5g a day thereafter. Keeping hydrated is a good idea as well.

Would be interested to hear how it works for you.

I only tried it once - made me feel bloated, but a lot say its good and works.

From what I have read it fills your muscles with more water, so they are bigger, but the recommendation because of that was to drink, drink and drink because you will need the extra fluid.

There's a substantial body of research which says it's beneficial, but to what extent depends on goal and one's dietary intake of creatine (and its building blocks) from other sources. Long and short is that if you are a meat-eater and include lots of red meats (including game) you are unlikely to be 'deficient' of creatine. It would seem that any benefit of supplementation is directly related to one's previous intake levels.

I take it, I've not died or grown tentacles and I think it has helped though of course it's impossible to tell whether gains are down to the creatine or just training and diet.

Yeah I did but am interested in the respected opinions of the chaps on here, like he says above, it isnt going to make me grow tentacles or expire, worth a try I reckon.

Only problem is it makes you put on muscle and water weight and am on a three week wager with some of the other fatties at work biggrin

I am down 15 pounds, luckily our wager involves muscle gained and fat/weight lost.

There is more water retention, but you do end up peeing most of back out. During the day, the heaviest I get is just over 75kg. After a sleep, and having to go for a pee seemingly throughout the night, I have been spot on 72kg in the morning.

It's cheap, so why not, but you'll not notice much.
