bounceThis is the one (F1) race we're going to this yearbounce

Tickets turned up on Saturday, usual good service from BookF1.

I'll be able to report first hand on the derogatory way Rosberg lays his gloves over the steering wheel.

Never been to the Hungaroring before, looking forward to it.

I went last year and it was brilliant (stayed in central Budapest). It was very, very hot though!

Not gonna bother with this one.

Even in a good year for F1 it's an awful, awful race with no overtaking.

Last year wasn't, Lewis, pit lane to 3rd and pissing off Nico at the same time

YES. Not sure this is supposed to be sarcastic but Hungary is a much underrated race. Of course there were some proper dirges in the Schumacher era but there have also been some absolute crackers - last year for instance.

Really? In 2011 (or 12 or 10, somewhere a few years ago now)! Button drove a stonker in the rain.

Last year Lewis drove the wheels off it and was performing overtakes all over the show, if memory serves a 2 for the price of 1 at one point as well....

I'm going to really go out on a limb here, I am feeling a little bit risky with my predictions!
I think it will be a Merc 1-2 with a Ferrari 3rd.

To be fair, in nearly 30 years Hungary has served up more boredom than excitement.
I've always thought that the Hungaroring has been way ahead of it's time as a GP circuit.....It managed to create the most boring processions along with featureless corners at least 20 years before Tilke came along with his ruinous circuit designs

Wow that's a brave call... - you're just talking about engines, right? Lotus 1-2 with a Sauber 3rd?

Get to the bookies, those kinds of odds could see a bet leading to early retirement biggrin

Anyone have any information on transport between central Budapest and the circuit?

Metro to the pest end of the Árpád Bridge where there is a free return bus service to the circuit. If you get a taxi make sure it's an official Hungaroring taxi (6x6 Taxi, Taxi 2000, Mobil Taxi and Taxi 4) since they can use the VIP road and have a fixed price (about £25 I think). These taxis have a special symbol on them if I remember (on the taxi sign on the roof).

Rent a car. It will cost less than a taxi for three days and, even though you can't use the VIP road, in and out access is quick and easy.

The bus service leaves you with a 30-40 minute walk in to the circuit.

2006. Hungaroring. Honda's last F1 win and Button's first.

What are the chances of a repeat performance, considering Honda are letting McLaren have full use of the ERS systems this weekend?

On their current form they'd be very lucky to walk away with 3 points, 25 is the stuff of dreams.
Just getting the car to the finish line is a dream to all intents and purposes.
