Where do other owners set rev limit and does it depend on engine 3.6,4.0,4.3,4.5,5.0,FFF?

You don't, you can set the point at which the shift lights illuminate though. The hard limiter is somewhere north of 7500rpm but I have never hit it, the 3.6 is out of puff by then anyway so no need to cane it that hard

Sorry that's what I meant, green amber red light settings, thought the 3.6 revved well to near 8k.

My red light comes on at 7200.

Depending on what text you choose to believe. Max power is done at 7000 and the standard internals aren't happy at higher revs. Lots of time above 7000rpm can lead to failure of con rods etc....

I have the lights set at 6000, 6500 and 7000.

Thanks, is your Tamora a 3.6?

Standard Tam 3.6.
I tend to drive mine, when warmed up of course,no garage queen biggrin

Summer 6.5/7/7.5k
Winter 6/6.5/7k mainly for traction

Hard rev limit is 7800 it spits flames then, apparently whistle

Owned for 9 yrs 30k and guess what?? No rebuild rolleyes

Standard 3.6 in the Tamy - for now.

Again, there's plenty of texts out there to read about the S6. Read and draw your own conclusions. Although I have a 4.0 rebuilt by Powers I am likely to go another way with the 3.6.

I have always thought changing up when the revs in the next gear is at peak torque is the quickest acceleration and only run up to max revs in top.

In 40 years of driving in rallies I've never blown an engine and always at least 3 years between opening for a check apart from the initial build. And yeas I used to be able to get in the top 5 on area events (won one and 3rd on Otterburn on a national championship event)
