Hi All,

I don't think there's enough model railway content in this forum. So I'm doing my bit. Although sadly the railway isn't mine. Nor the garden. In fact none of the good bits are mine, but it's nice to see someone else do such things biggrin

Grown ups and their toys... Recently completed, my stepdad has built himself a G scale railway around the garden. I thought I'd take a few snaps and share.

Here's a few pics I stole from him showing the initial build stages:

Before anything started

Delivery

Garden Destroyed

Commence Build

Track Laying

Platforms In

And now the finished pics which I took last week. I think there's a few more building, people and what not to add, but I think it's off to a great start.

Mother's done a great job on planting up the garden

Thanks for viewing.

Isn't it just!

Thanks all, I really can't take much credit for anything here.

Nice and I agree, there's not enough railway stuff here.

I've been slowly building one in my garden - a lot smaller & not nearly as professional looking as the OP's.

Wow looks lovely that. Really well done.

I do plan to build a double OO loop in my garden at some point but still in the planning stages. The garden isn't level so that's my first challenge. I have ideas though but probably a bit out of my depth. I know it wont look anywhere near as nice as that.

We need more like this here.

Fantastic stuff - and agreed, there's not enough about railways in general on this forum.

Stunning. Very jealous. Just of the garden, let alone the garden complete with fitted railway!

What was the timescale for the build? All done this year or was it started last year?

Thanks for the comments all.
It was started last year. I'd say it's taken 8-10 months to get it to this stage.
