Hi All

Dual mass flywheel & clutch need replacing on mum's golf estate.

Can get the parts relatively cheaply, but I am yet to find a garage in the local-ish area (20 miles max) with a reasonable labour rate per hour that does a good job.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

Did you have any luck? I know a guy in Woodley that works from home and also does mobile repairs.

Try CAE automotive at 263 Barkham road, Wokingham.
They do most of my maintenance. Reasonable rates.

The problem with getting a garage to fit YOUR parts is warranty?? what happens if there is a problem? are you going to pay the garage again to remove YOUR parts to send away for a warranty claim?? some of the very cheep clutches and DMF`s are not worth the chance. Its best to use O/E quality parts.
If a garage supplies and fits the parts the whole job is guaranteed no questions, get an all in quote.

I just had some work done at Arbor lane garage in Winnersh. Very small place and about as unflashy as you could get but cheap labour rates and more importantly they did a good job!
