I'm sure there was someone on here after one, very very rare, and it's priced accordingly!

Given how acclaimed the F10/F11 is, coupled with a proper engine and a good spec, very nice.

It's still priced to keep thought.

At that price I'd imagine you can take your time deciding if you want it.

Why do they do it? Every time I see a bonkers money F10/F11 on the AUC site its always still there 3-4 months later.

Is it really that expensive? I'd imagine the invoice price will be what, low 60s? There was a 535i of similar vintage but with 40k for around 25k and that wasn't an AUC either.

If I had 30k to drop on a new car I'd be on the phone in the morning.

Lovely spec, but they are selling themselves short as they state it has dakoka leather but it has the comfort seats to will come with merino nappa which is so much better.

Would better at a 27-8k though.

It's 4 years old, so yes, IMHO.

Somebody on here picked up a year newer 535i M Sport Touring AUC a few months back for £20k.

Pretty sure it wasn't 20k.

My point remains. If it was 65k then 30k isn't wildly out of kilter at 4 years old.

It was (ok £20900 or something) - it had 60k on it.

Nobody paid £65k for that car, you can't order them any more so I can't check but a brand new factory order 535i M Sport Touring with Nav/Xenons/etc is only £37k brand new. You'd need to really want that V8 to pay £30k IMHO. I might be wrong - we'll have to see if it's still there in a month hehe

Fox you're talking out of your hat hehe

Point one, of course nobody paid 65k, that was not what I said. I said invoice price, upon which depreciation is based.

A brand new 535i Touring M Sport lists today at 47140 of your English pounds naked of any options. Not difficult to imagine a 550i being 5k more and 10k of options is it?

A new 535i M sport touring with the same spec as the car advertised is 59k, OK you won't pay that as you'll get discount but if they still offered us the 550i it would be around 65k list with that spec less discount.

The car is over priced but not by 10k more like 3-4k in my opinion.

According to that in 2012 it was 58k on the road, plus whatever options, minus any discount.

Let's say 60k all in, at 4 years old and low miles it's probably fair, just seems expensive at first.

Looking at that price list it was a tad under 70k list.

Surely depreciation is based on what the market is willing to pay for the car rather than an arbitrary percentage of a list price?

Who are these people who would spend £31,000 on a 4 year old 5 Series which doesn't say 'M5' on the back?

I agree, thats where I'd place it too. I reckon £25-27k.

That said it does appear to trade book at £29k yikes

Newsflash: the market isn't you. We've just ascertained it would have listed at 70k so the pricing is probably bob on considering the uber low miles and rarity.

As the saying goes... Find another!

Did they not have some issues with that engine - subject of global recall involving injectors, MAFs and few other bits?
Plus reduced the service interval?
Sure I read that somewhere.

But the market does appear to be you as you've bought a 550i in the past. How much was it versus its list price? hehe

That said the F10/F11 market is crazy - you can buy a brand new 530d M Sport for about £32k with Nav and Xenons yet you try finding a 4 year old one with sensible miles and similar spec for anything less than £22k. They seem to cost bizarrely large amounts of money used even as they get older. A 2 year old one is barely any cheaper than a factory order through a broker.

The cheapest F10 M5 on AT that hasn't been to the moon is 37k and is a private sale. And obviously isn't a touring.

fk knows but mine was 6 years old when I bought it. If the market is me (it is) I've already said if I had 30k if be on the phone. I reckon they'd deal somewhere between 28-29 but maybe not yet... you might have to run the gauntlet of leaving it on for a month first.

It's amusing to see list price used as a definition of the price of an old car.

Especially by owners.
