Just thought I'd post this incase it's of interest to anyone.
A while ago I replaced my standard sports seats with GT3 seats:

but really wanted them in original 'classic grey'. After much phoning and emailing different companies, the choices I was left with were:
1) Buy new gt3 seats in any colour from porsche. Cost loads and 12 month wait.

2) Have southbound re-trim my seats. Cost £800 + vat but would also destroy my original leather covers which I thought I could sell and recoup a few £££

3) Recolour my seats. After much searching (rennlist.com) I discovered a company called www.colorplus.com who match your trim sample and supply a complete kit consisting of Cleaner, Conditioner & Dye.

To use, I removed the seats and cleaned them thoroughly, then conditioned them and then sprayed the dye on. One thick coat followed by a thin coat. Spraying is not important and an equally good finish can be obtained by brushing the dye.
Total cost £100 including postage.

If anyone's interested I'll post again in six months to let you know how they've worn.

Wow, that is very impressive.

Don't let DeR see this folks. I think he paid quite a bit for the retrim of his GT3 seats in his 993 TT!!

Looks excellent! Now avoid trousers with buttons or metal rivets on the backside. Did it leave you with a bit of dye left over to touch up scratches later?

Yes, i've got a tidly bit left.

I was very sceptical of the claims for the product but when it arrived I quickly painted a bit on the back of a seat cusion and after just a couple of hours it was impossilbe to scratch off. Only time will tell I guess!

We use similar products with great results, but don't overlook the fact that it can be used to freshen up tired seats with the same colour. A set of Cobalt Blue 964 seats that had faded to teal green/blue came up spectacularly well recently.

STOP, no more compliments! I've just sat in them and they've devloped a crack so I'm swallowing my pride and getting them re-trimmed. Anyone make a recommendation?

I think it may have been too cold or humid during application. Another four days of preperation is something I don't fancy!

Unbelievable thing is that I dabbed a bit on the inside of my leather jacket and I still haven't been able to get it off!
