Wow - there is a clear difference emerging in the prices between the sea of <'04 70k milers and the >'04 sub 20k milers.

I have been on the sniff for a nice late '05/'06 convertible with sub 20k miles as an occasional car and a safe place to stick some cash.

Anyone have any thoughts why there is such a huge difference in the prices?

Yeah i can appreciate that...its just the cream of the cabs are being retailed at £26k some more. Dont mind spending but sre they really that desirable with sub 20k miles that people will pay so much?

£26k is far too much for one. Certainly not an investment at that price unless you keep it on 20k miles for the next 20 years.

Should be able to get a nice one for around half that.

been looking at these for the last 6 months and prices have just went stupid.
I think people are blind and drunk.

We have people who have a low millage cars who all of sudden think they are worth a hell of a lot more than they are worth and then we have the people who have 02' 80k plus mile cars who seem to think their cars fall in the same bracket so they have also upped their values by 2-3k.

Don't get me wrong there are certainly some sensible priced examples out there however I am waiting on a colour combo I want.

Have wanted an e46 m3 convertible since they were out.
I think a fair price for a 05/06 30-40k mile car is around 15-16k and thats top end. anything above that and the people trying to sell it are mad and the people buying them (if they are) are mad too.
