I don't know if i am being blind or if its just not the done thing anymore, but years ago members on here organised group drives to various places.
I went on a cracking day out to the evo triangle with a great bunch of members! We stopped at a nice restaurant on the way back giving us a chance to chat.

Would anybody be interested in something similar?

There are always people looking for an excuse on a Sunday morning for an early run out for breakfast..... I've done the "Wales" thing and the problem is that unless you get up very early at this time of year, or wait until early October onwards, it's probably too busy. Even the Peak District is too busy currently at the weekend & also getting more populated by cyclists yes I'm always up for a little gathering en route to a Sunday Service (Craikeybaby has joined me & a few others previously) & would put up a thread in the Midlands section if I get on the entry list - normally the furthest we go is Silverstone

I'd be interested in this too. Most of the events I make are with the marque specific car club I'm in. I made a Wales event last year with Pistonheads and really enjoyed the variety of different people and cars - made a nice change.

Now that we are on that slippery slope into Autumn/Winter, there will start to be fewer walkers/Cyclists. Might be a good time to get a Midlands gathering on some 'Proper Roads' planned. I'd be up for it....Day or weekend.
