Injection only ECU?
Discussion
I am considering removing the distributor on my Daimler 250 V8 engine and run a ignition ECU like Megajolt or Nodiz. Are there any other brands at reasonable price I should look into?
I need the space where the dizzy is to fit a new inlet manifold for either four Weber IDFs or four DCNFs. Trigger wheel will be mounted at the crank pulley.

You could probably adapt a ford edis-8 system to fit.

The query was injection only ecu ??I need the space where the dizzy is to fit a new inlet manifold for either four Weber IDFs or four DCNFs. Trigger wheel will be mounted at the crank pulley.
Now you're asking about ignition ?
DTA make an ignition only...but pretty sure it only does 4cyls
Not even sure if Nodiz have the 8cyl working yet ? I do recall them saying they were working on one though
Long term, and if you were considering injection at some point, is just to buy a full ecu, and only use it for ignition
The Megajolt is tempting as the edis will give me a limp home mode should the ecu stop working. However the Nodiz is tempting aswell as it has easier tuning options via bluetooth/mobile and skips the Edis.
Also the suggestion to go full Ecu with injection capabilities, but only usi g the ignition, is tempting but would be quite a few more £.
