Ok I think you're talking about changing the inlet manifold for improved power
Have a look here http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=372... and that should be a start

Why would you bother?

Just buy a 330.

It was a genuine question. The difference between a 325 and a 330 isn't £13k either is it?.

What whp are you hoping to run? Have you included the cost of a remap to utilise the changes you want to make to your inlet manifold?

What is your ultimate goal?

You might get more help in the BMW general forum too.

Well i was hoping to to take it upto the power of the 330i which is 268 bhp i think and then a further remap if possible i know its going to be a few hundred pound for the remap alone.thsnks for the replys

You can probably get to 330i power with a new calibration alone.

You need the N52b30 manifold then a remap as the ecu can't control the manifold. I could of sold you one but i sold it with my old engine.

Why is this in M Power?

Surely it would just be far easier to sell the 325i and buy one with a more powerful engine?

You don't understand... The engines are basically the same so it's a fair question.

No I understand fully they are a detuned 3.0 in some of the 325i's But by the time you've bought the bits you might as well just buy a 330i at least its actually what its ment to be by then... My real question is why is it in the M power section...

N53 is the high pressure 3.0 which is basically a N54 without the turbo. Do you have the N53b30? I don't think the N53b25 is a 3.0 but might be wrong

The n52b25 and n52b30 are the same engine both 3.0, bar the inlet manifold and mapping
