Cool. I guess it's possible to stretch/shrink existing pictures to match that perspective, given how many map projections there are I assume someone's already done that?

Yep - similar effect to portrait photography.



That's why it's not good to use a lens under 50-60mm to take portraits - in enhances the shnoz.
