All,

In the next couple of months I'll be looking to purchase a 60 inch TV. As always, size matters and I'm set on a minimum of 60 inches!

I'm not after top-of-the-range, nor am I fussed about OELD etc. but I do want something that is not awful and has a silly low refresh rate that makes watching sport a difficulty!

Is it possible to get a decent 60 inch TV for £1000?! Also needs to have a VESA compatible wall mount :-)

Suggestions / advice please!

If you can wait another couple of months, this year's models will start to be discounted. I picked up Panasonics flagship 60" 2014 tv for 1k in February, over 1.8k off rrp. Works well in kitchen extension.

Unfortunately Plasma is now dead due to high power consumption.
I had the same requirements a year ago and caught an end of line Samsung Plasma 60" at your price point.

How about a 65" for 1K...?

Also the Digihome is fantastic value for money, picked mine up when it was £530 a few months back..it's back to full price and OOS at the moment, it's pretty much a de-badged Vestel / Finlux.
