I'm stripping my car before doing the body.

I need to replace both front wings and the front panel, as well as repairing the wings.
Should I leave the front subframe in as a kind of jig to make sure the front panel's true?

Yes. It is very difficult without the sub-frame in and with it removed you really need a body jig to get it right.

thanks.
Spoken to a good local bodyshop and their view is:
1. Take to get blasted (on subframes)
2. Blast and etch prime
3. Repair floors, underseal
4. Refit subframes
5. Do the front end
