Just in case people think it's all made up here is the sorn request email they are now saying is not good enough to prove I haven't needed their insurance for.

I like the spelling mistakes and the ' that accidentally became a ?.

Why does PH insist on no naming and shaming? It would actually be very useful for users to hear firsthand from other members when they have experienced great service or otherwise. A bit like an automotive Trip Advisor...

Insurance companies and banks are the worlds biggest thieves, it's a fact of life. Closely followed by Estate Agents I might add.

Because it might affect their advertising income.

Important terminology, they are not backdating it, they are correcting their failure to implement your confirmed instruction.

You cannot seriously be saying that insurance companies are bigger thieves than estate agents. I mean, come on ...

Spoke to them yesterday evening, they are reviewing the phone call ffs. They say I will know by the end of the week.

Update - they took £212 and refunded £156 wtf. Back on the phone again.

My app for getting free 0845 calls says I would have spent over £35 on the phone so far if I had to pay for the calls I've made chasing this mess not to mention my time.

Not going back through the thread now but Google the chief execs name and email address and get your complaint Ito him. Also bill them for your time, say you feel that half an hour is reasonable but over this is unacceptable and my time is billed at X per hour. You probably won't get it but it might make them sit up a bit.

Insurers don't get it right on many occasions ( I'm an ex employee) I've had pro Rasta refunds horrendously miscalculated in their favour. Just yesterday I had a settlement on a claim for my mum it should have been for £895 yet they've sent £1195. That's going to be fun sorting out!

It's positive discrimination gone mad.

This may sound over the top but MCOL is what you need.

If all you've said on here is the way things have transpired then just write a short letter to HQ giving 14 days notice to get a full refund and state you'll begin proceedings without any further reference to them should they fail to issue a full refund. Make sure yoi send by recorded delivery.

If they dont refund you, issue a claim online (£15), sit back and await your full refund.

If this doesnt work, I'll pay your claim fee.
