i think helenius fully fit is a ball ache for anyone! i can forgive him for not taking him as his come back fight!In stark contrast to my Bellew musings, since stepping up to heavyweight, Haye has proven himself the master of shrewd career-path planning...and this is right up there! 5th best heavyweight in Australia...serial fighter of boxers with losing records...yet ranked 8th with the WBA so win and Haye gets a ranking that allows him to be selected for voluntary defences!!! with the rematch of chagaev and oquendo not taking place last month, and no resolve to reschedule it's looking more likely that chagaev will fight mandatory lucas browne.......
.......just in time for haye to have come through against what's-his-name and get his shot.....and you'd pick him a comfortable winner against both.
you have to wonder what the end game would be....or would he just be happy having a slice of the pie once again?

Good question...maybe he doesn't yet know himself, but one thing he will have learnt from his dealings with the Klitschkos last time around; get yourself a title and you've got something to negotiate with. Whether he would use that to push for a re-match with Wlad, as a carrot for Joshua or a shot at salvation for Fury should he come up short on Saturday...whichever, it opens the door to a big fight and a big pay-day down the line!"He who shall not be named" still owes me £15 for the Audley Harrison debacle, maybe Shane Mcguigan can persuade Freddie Flintoff out of retirement as Hayes next match?
I'm in camp Fury now (although I reserve the right to change back as circumstances arise).
Does anyone give Fury a chance at the weekend? I've been watching the stuff on Sky and watching his previous stuff on Youtube (upper cutting himself aside) I'm starting to think maybe he can do it... Am I deluding myself?

Well I'm sticking £20 on Tyson to win rounds 7-9 at 18/1. I don't usually do gambling but I can feel this in my water...

Watch some of his highlight reel on youtube, his movement, his boxing on the back foot going backwards, his hand speed, his natural physique, his 4 inch reach advantage plus the ability to box from Southpaw effectively putting more than half the ring between himself and Klitchko's right hand... I've committed to it... Come on Tyson.

I don't give him any chance at all. To me he exists to gage what damage father time has done to Klitschko. Against Jennings he looked poor, could have been an off night or maybe he's not the man he once was. If he lets Fury take him to the 8th round then Povetin and Wilder may fancy their chances.The other interesting thing is Fury's future after a loss. If Joshua does turn out to have a chin then a bout against Fury would be a useful yard stick of his quality.
Well regardless of who wins, fury can take credit in making this match exciting.
The build up has been pantomime, and as such created interest maybe beyond what would have been otherwise.
I admire Klitschko but hes not someone i would usually pay to watch. He doesn't hold the same excitement for me as when i was a young kid watching Mike Tyson.
But this weekend im meeting up with a few mates to watch this. As such Fury has done his job, getting bums on seats.
In terms of his chance, hes a big lad and has a chance. Will be interesting to see if Fury can land a few repetitive big shots and see how Klitschko reacts. As hes not really been under a lot of pressure from the majority of his previous opponents.
I just went to book, and programming starts at 7pm
It states the ring walk starts 9.55pm
And their is obviously an under card.
So if someone can clarify, does that mean the first fight on the card starts at 9.55pm? or is that when the Fury Klitschko fight is anticipated to start?
Edited to add just found the 9.55pm is the intended start time of the main Event with Fury entering the ring first! lol

when interviewed yesterday he talked about fury's chances against wlad and said something along the lines of klitschko is so hard to beat that fury has no chance. he had an air of resignation in his manner that tells me he doesn't BELIEVE he could beat him should they meet again. of course that could all change if wlad looks st on saturday night. there are only so many times you can go to the well and although he's clean living and supremely conditioned wlad is 40 in a couple of months. think of all the hundreds of fights he's engaged in throughout his entire career.amateur and pro(with similar career trajectories) he has had something like 120 MORE fights than lennox lewis had in his entire career....that's right,120 more!! and lennox was all done at 37. it does make you wonder how he has stayed as fresh as he has
