eddie was trying to get callum smith out AGAIN!!....given he only got 2 minutes work a couple of weeks ago.....not yet confirmed however
But that would only be a couple of minutes work again. No way would he be risked against someone with a high ranking. Late notice now too. Doesn't look to be any genuine 50/50 fights on the whole card. In my mind Tyson has several major issues here.
1. Tyson is not a particularly heavy hitter, stopping Klitschko will be a big ask
2. Tyson has no Stamina, he has almost no chance on points
3. Tyson doesn't have great defences, his best defensive skill to date has been picking lacklustre opponents
Leaning back and slipping is exactly what Wlad wants Tyson to do to get away from that ramrod jab. Right cross is the money shot, let an opponent get comfortable slipping that jab thrown slightly short then throw the big right down quickly after when they have nowhere left to go. Tyson's feet are not fast enough, don't see it taking Wlad long to draw him into the shot and if need be, adjust his feet to make range. This will get easier from round 4 when Tyson is blowing although without being able lean on a smaller opponent to take breaks I'm not sure how Wlad's pace will hold up.
Either way I see this as a snoozefest!

klitschko mid to late stoppage after an early feeling out period. i am actually fascinated to see how each of them adjusts to what the other does. everybody gets in there with a plan but i think the biggest underestimation of wladimir is the foot placement. he does that repetition thing where the other guy eventually thinks he's timing him only to be lured into a trap without realizing it.
it's foot pressure...but not in a golovkin kind of way, it's far more subtle.
the other thing they all have to contend with is the variation of shot stiffness. i watched one of the analysis vids on you tube about his fights with chris byrd. he alternated between tickling him with lazy jabs to make chris think he could counter to then full force lazer jabs once byrd had set off what he thought was a counter......only to have his counter countered...if you get what i mean,.
oh, and there's the small matter of damage THROUGH the opponents gloves. there are dozens of slo mo vids where you see wlad punching at the gloves and still causing damage.that's got to be the most demoralizing of all...to think you've blocked a shot and it still fking hurts!
i remember chris eubank saying that he got buzzed early in his career through the guard so he found a way of sort of wrapping his glove over his forehead to avoid taking his own gloves getting banged into his head by cushioning the blow more

Well, you could adopt the Eubank method, which involved keeping the glove pretty much in contact with the head a) to ensure there was no 'smack' as there was little/no gap and b) to increase the likelihood that the force is deflected/glanced 'up and over' rather than being caught 'square'...i remember chris eubank saying that he got buzzed early in his career through the guard so he found a way of sort of wrapping his glove over his forehead to avoid taking his own gloves getting banged into his head by cushioning the blow more
...or you could simply practice taking these types of blow from your own gloves with the aim of desensitising yourself to them:

i want to give out a hearty belly laugh.........but i've done that myself, all sweaty headed on a heavy bag and leaning all over it with my head throwing short hooks and uppercuts....all the sweat off me noggin was all over the bag and a cheeky uppercut slid right off the bag and connected with my grid......quite an embarrasing moment!!...but at least mine wasn't on telly in front of thousands of people!...or you could simply practice taking these types of blow from your own gloves with the aim of desensitising yourself to them:

Saul Alvarez is 25 years old and already well over 40 pro wins, only loss to Floyd, he could be one of histories greats, awesome power for a man his size and he's a ginger Mexican - who doesn't like a ginger Mexican? Cotto should probably retire now, for me he looked a split second out last night, I doubt he will though, would look good on amir khan's cv
What a surprise Alvarez is already ducking GGG at middleweight. Hopefully he'll be stripped of his belt ASAP if he' not willing to fight (and get destroyed) the number one challenger at 160 lbs.First Ward and now Alvarez dodging GGG. Is there anyone how would have the balls to face him at 160lbs?

I believe in miracles...
And to be fair he got up and stopped Steve Cunningham and Vlad's not going to be coming in low and throwing haymakers...
The forearm he gave Cunningham to win that bout a)won't work on Klitschko and b)should have got him dis-qualified ...dreadful referee.. At least the song at the end of that one was better than yesterday's. LolAnd to be fair he got up and stopped Steve Cunningham and Vlad's not going to be coming in low and throwing haymakers...

Taking on Gennady Golovkin is possibly the most daunting challenge in boxing today. More than that, despite being a solid lump and irrespective of what belt he holds, Alvarez is naturally a Light-Middleweight…he’s only fought above 154lbs on a couple of occasions, both times at 155lbs. So he’d be taking on that mammoth task already at a disadvantage.
On the flip side, he also knows that with Cotto beaten (and showing little interest in staying at Middleweight anyway) and the big names at Super-Middle having either stepped up to Light-Heavy (Ward) or retired (Froch/Kessler), added to the fact that Golovkin has already gone through the rest of the Middleweight division like a dose of salts, he is the only really big fight on the horizon for GGG at the moment. Whereas, for Alvarez, there’s plenty to be doing at Light-Middle now that Mayweather’s retired and there are a few more belts to go after again. Also, time is on his side…he’s only 25 so it’s not like he’s in the last chance saloon for getting a(nother) big pay-day.
Therefore, from a negotiation perspective, Alvarez is holding pretty much all of the bargaining chips…so why wouldn’t he seek to get as many concessions as he can out of Golovkin?! Weight, venue, purse-split, officials, choice of gloves, whatever…if I were him, I’d be looking to get as many things tilted in my favour as I could before signing on the dotted line!

Well young man.......The only advice I can offer is don't bet more than you can afford to lose!!
I've remortgaged the house to bet on Fury winning by KO.Easy money
