Going to head down from London on the Sunday to see the show but have never been before. My intention is to get the train from Waterloo. Any advice for the day? Guessing the train will be rammed?

We got the train from Basingstoke last year on the Saturday (Vulcan day - until they announced during the display that it was also displaying on the Sunday) and it was heaving, we paid to upgrade to first class, but getting on at Waterloo at least means you will get a seat.

Coming back last year was even worse, we had to sit on the floor between carriages, but the Vulcan was on last (about 5pm) so there was a mass exit of the beach as soon as the display finished. We hung around for an hour or so and the trains were still heaving but not a lot that can be done really, it was a great day so did not mind

thanks for that! looks like the first train out of Waterloo is 0754 which would get us in to Bournemouth for 1023. I think that's probably the one to get. I'm intending to go down on the Sunday which will get me both the Vulcan and the Red Arrows. I'm always disappointed i didn't get to see the Vulcan at the last Leuchars event, it would've topped off a brilliant day.

Red Arrows are on at 3.15 on the Sunday, just depends what time the Vulcan is on, I assume they will try and have her last.
