i'll set the wheels in motion then...

I'd estimate a mid-late september release date as it would be one year after the 6.

rumours? What do you want to see?

  • Force touch
  • No more buttons
  • Battery life improvements
  • Bigger/smaller/different dimensions
  • 1080p screen or better
  • Improved camera(s)
  • Better sound
  • More storage
  • The elusive sapphire glass
  • New faster data protocols that are unusable in UK

Are you getting one?

I will be getting one as my 5s is getting very battered and has had a hard life.

As for what I expect not a lot really. A faster processor, slightly improved battery life and a better screen. What I do know is ios9 is brilliant.

I'll have one on launch day as has become tradition smile

I broke my 6 last week so I've been using a 4 whilst my insurance claim goes through, it makes you realise how far things have come tbh!

I am happy with my 6+, there would need to be massive massive improvements to get me to upgrade.

Unless something amazing is announced I'll be skipping it like I did the 5S. Always nice to see how they improve it though.

i guess it will probably be evolution rather than revolution, being as it is "6s" and not "7", but Tim Cook has turned certain traditions on their head a bit since he took control. Might hang on and see the specs first before I decide!

A smaller one added to the range please ... or I'll stick with my 4S.

It's not much different IMO. The new notes app is good, news app is ok. Apart from that it's just slow and buggy just now.

I'm tempted as long as they bump the ram although I'm going to see how iOS 9 is on my 5S first

From my experience with iOS 8 on the 4S: take a backup first before upgrading!

I hope they upgrade the 5S at some point, it's a good size, the 6 is too big for me. I have a 5 and am waiting to upgrade.

Agreed. Who wants a "tablet" in their hand/pocket?

Is that a rhetorical question? Have you seen the sales of devices like the iPhone 6, 6+ and Galaxy Note?

It's the way forward tbh, brands like Apple will point to the biggest sales, they're not much for a "Niche" creator. Small phones are a niche these days, and thus very few are covering it, for example the Z3 Compact.

The majority of work is behind the scenes on my air2 battery life has improved its not slow and the only bug is photos crashes when uploading from SD card.

Aren't the half-upgrade 'S' versions usually just a bit quicker? Major updates will be held back for the 7?

Will I be getting one? No - my 6 is only a few months old, it's my first iPhone since the 3GS and whilst it's good, it doesn't do anything that amazes me so I'm not going to pay £600 for a slightly better one.
