I'm going to Headcorn in a couple of weeks , on the Saturday as the Vulcan is booked to display .
As it's my first display in many years , what can I expect , taking my cameras will 500mm and 300mm cover most of the airborne stuff .
Anybody know the venue ?
Any tips or info would be much appreciated .
cheers ken .

Know it well used to live down there. Small grass strip with very little viewing line. Suspect cars will be parked in the field next to viewing line so not much space. Planes fly East/west - west/East. Only light aircraft and choppers can get in and out. There is a couple of flying schools and a parachute school. A small air museum and a couple of old jets - Mystere being one. Will take vintage aircraft like spitfire, mustang, biggest thing I have seen on the ground was a Let 410 Turbolet.

Vulcan is doing a fly past at Herne Bay and Headcorn then onto Eastbourne for a full display. Both lenses will be fine for pictures.

Hope it doesn't rain as it will get very boggy there.......

It's so dry at the moment the thinking is it'll be Ok through winter unless it's exceptionally wet.

I guess it'll be flying E to W so if you're at the SW side you should be clear of obstructions. When I last went iirc parking was in the fields opposite. I suspecy people will pull up on the A274 if they can.
