Has anyone got photos showing the routing of their exhaust along the length of the car?

I'm trying to fabricate one at the moment and I'm not sure where to put it!

My car had an above propshaft silencer but it makes the car too hot and is very difficult to access for me to make it, so I'm thinking about running it below the main chassis rails.

assuming its for your 200?

Here is my old silver wedge with a below chassis option (guess you'd just need 1 side for the 200)

Never had any clearance issues but due to lack of a proper rear silencer it was loud. You could put a better rear box in that space on my example which would work to quieting in it down

Thanks, that's pretty much like I was planning but then i had the thought there must be a reason they did not do that as it's so simple.

Yip it's for the 200 but it has a V6 in it. Standard exhaust manifolds and downpipes don't fit as the engine has been fitted about 4" further back in the chassis.

I think originally there would of been the rectangle mid-box on each side and they sat under the seating area and crossed over the chassis at the rear...Delilah's were straight through but with a mid-glass packed cherry bomb on each pipe...119db at 4000rpm...biggrin

Did the floor of the body have a recess up under the seats to accommodate these silencers? Mine has a flat floor.

My 280i did..It wasn't much but enough to half the exposed mid-box..I think the system closely resembled the mk3 Capri but with the Cortina 2.3 headers...Not sure about the underbody of a 200...
