The talk on Facebook was a lot more than that, so I'm guessing this is just the brick itself?

I think it's the box underneath, tied to the brace bar, rather than the other way around. smile

GSD told me the whole kit was £5k. At that price you might as well get a brand new kit off the Fish now that they can buy from Australia at an advantageous exchange rate. They told me the new kit comes with absolutely everything you need to install.

HA! Just as I thought, it doesn't make enough power so our man has bitten the bullet and gone for twin turbo.

yep 5k including bigger pump, heat exchanger, Injector Dynamics ID850 injectors, and various other extra parts not included in a usual kit smile

It's my blower. The car makes the power. How else would it run 10.60@136mph at pod with a 2100kg race weight? That was on THE first run with the setup with a manual trans.

-Will make MORE power than it currently does

-I asked 3.5K for the blower alone(entire unit as Magnuson shipped it to me). If you think that's expensive then spend 7K somewhere else.

5K was the asking price for:

2.3L Heartbeat Blower
Intake
Heat Exchanger
29GPM Pump
ID 850CC Injectors
Kenne Bell Boost a pump
Innovators West Balancer w/two additional pullies
Dual Catch Can
Relocation bracket for the pulley clearance along with the idlers

Possibly some other parts if the buyer is truly interested.

My goals changed. I thought about building a highway 1200+hp monster which this blower will not achieve.

One thing is you not agreeing to the price. Ok fair enough that's your take. But if you don't think this setup makes the power, I challenge you to come out to pod to line up next to me and put it to the test. Then maybe you will change your tone....

Car made 774bhp/896ftlbs at SRR on 14 PSI misfiring with 7 spark plugs. One melted on the dyno(too hot heat range). If it doesn't sell, then it will be turned up a notch.

Yea I zip tied it to the strut bar. It is just a expansion tank that makes bleeding the Heat Exchanger easier. I have removed it many times messing with the car and it is not permanent so that was my temporary fix for the strip.

Is that 774hp at the wheels?

I didn't say anything about price, I merely suggested you are changing the heartbeat because you are not happy with its power output which you don't seem to be.... Unless I'm missing something?

I have one of those IW crank pullies somewhere where I tried to overdrive my blower. It worked but at the cost of AITs. What's the point of trying to make a 2.3L blower do something it was never designed to do?

Well, the numbers quoted were produced under the unfavorable conditions mentioned. With a melted plug. It did make 896ft lbs and that's not a typo. Dyno numbers are just that....an estimate of HP. My time slip says I am making quite a bit of usable power to be making mid 10 second passes. The 10.60 I ran was actually the fastest time for a street car Fast Show 2015. There were thousands of cars running there. I'm happy with the outcome.

Not knocking what you've achieved and that's one fast car for sure. I guess we all reach he point where we either stop or want something more. I think the heartbeat is a great piece of kit but will only take you so far. Have a word with Arnie, he (and I don't think he'll mind me saying this) ruined his Monaro (RIP) and bought a custom drag car. 1200hp is a lot for the road. Best of luck.

Were those figures WHP? If so very impressive for a 2.3L blower at 14 psi.

What final drive ratio are you running (i.e diff ratio)?

Why do you think that plug melted? What heat range was It?

I had a really competitive quote for a complete kit, new, at just over what you want used. Plus the kits come with everything you need for installation on whichever car you want to fit to (Holdens that is) that is the reason for my earlier comment on price. And that's most likely due to the Ozzy dollar dropping like a stone against GBP.

I wouldn't read too much into the loss of a plug electrode. Mine did the same thing a few years ago on the engine dyno. I seem to remember Roger saying he had to swap them for hotter ones

BHP figures. Doesn't really matter to be honest as the car ran really well at Pod. That was the only pass I got so I definitely think I could get my terminal closer to 140mph with meth and a proper 102mm intake. If no one picks it up then I will be at pod in March looking to get into the low 10s maybe 9s with a small shot of nitrous.

The plugs were NGK TR6 on the dyno. Swapped them out for TR7ix and the car runs MUCH better now and at the strip.
