Hi, I have just purchased a 2007 3 series E90 and have a few questions about changing certain aspects of it.

I was wondering how hard is it to change the infamous orange lights that illuminate the MPH gauge and the rev counter etc, what bulbs do i need to buy and where can i get it done?

The car has a built in satnav screen, and when i put it in reverse the screen says no signal detected but the parking sensors work. If i want to mount a reversing camera to the back and then feed it into the screen is there a specific camera which you guys can recommend would be good to do this? I can only seem to find cameras that come with a screen as well.

On the entertainment system of the car it has a 'TV' setting. When i click on that setting it comes up with a grey fuzzy screen (much like an old fashioned telly receives when it doesn't receive signal.) Does this mean i can view TV channels through the screen with the right attachments. If so where do i get them from?

Any help is much appreciated,

The instrument cluster uses Surface mounted LEDs so it's not quite as simple as swapping bulbs, you have to get them re-soldered in.

There is a few tutorials and links for reversing cameras on E90post

The reason you only get fuzz is because it will be a terrestrial tv antenna and that signal doesn't exist anymore.

A change to a freeview tuner should sort that out. Again check e90post for info.

Also, you sure that nav was not added at a later date?

Sounds as if it was coded for rear view camera and TV tuner without the car having it fitted.

It sounds like one of the aftermarket cheapo Chinese ones to me, mine did that in my e39 until a camera was fitted.

When in reverse a graphic should come on the screen with distance bars of it's an OE screen
