I used to dread getting summoned there. At least once a month of have to go and see my clients. It even got to the point that I found a location for a TC before getting the train. . Different days.
Funnily enough I met a prospective client today who said he started work on the LIFFE floor. I remember going down there when I first started work but it was like a zoo. Couldn't get away with it in PC Britain today!
I use NYSE LIFFE/Euronext day to day but are too young to have known it as an open outcry pit. The building is very sterile now, just banks of servers and meeting rooms. Was hoping to get over to CBOT before that pit closed, but missed that job as well.
