When I were a lad we didn't have any of these tints or blinds, didn't hurt us rolleyes

Unless you sat on a vinyl seat wearing shorts frown
You also weren't strapped into a rear facing child seat, lying on your back, staring up at the window, unable to move.

OP,
If you carry on like this you'll be a jibbering wreck before the baby even gets here!
Don't worry. The baby will be fine in a normal car with normal windows. Enjoy it. They grow up very quickly.

In all honesty, I'm not overly bothered, but it's potentially a very minor problem that I can fix in less than 5 minutes with a few clicks of my mouse and without even leaving my chair, so why not address it?

Now, painting the nursery the correct shade of yellow on the other hand... banghead

If you need to add blinds, nothing better than these.

You can slip the over the car door and they look neat, allow you to open the window and are totally "set and forget". With those Boots style suction cup stuck on roller blind jobbies, it'll be a matter of seconds before your little one has figured out how to pull them off and smack himself in the head with them....
I think these are better.

Sit behind the window, small catch to push between the trim. Can drive with windows open, and as they ar emade for your car, a perfect fit.

They look good, but of course, they don't make them for my specific car - might be that the 5 door version fit my 4 door rear passenger windows though.

Ordinary glass blocks almost all UVB and some UVA, laminated glass blocks UVA as well. It is why normal photochromic glasses do not darken in a car as it is the UV that activates them.

Worth checking if the side windows are laminated, some cars have this.

Very few side windows are laminated, it doesn't like being slammed and tends to crack. The Mitsubishi never had it as an option.

Some toughened glass does have UVA blocking properties, these will have an "s" in their ARGIC (windscreen trade) code. Mitsubishi doesn't. Even these glasses with the "s" don't block much UV though. A cheap tint film will still fade quite quickly when applied to it.
