In a kind of opposite to the stance type thing, has anyone gone up a size on their tyres? I'm a child of the 70s and love the balloon tyre look, the roads here also really do not suit low profile tyres and lowering cars...

Any thoughts on tyre sizes that will fit? Mk2.5 on OEM 14s and suspension, and don't want to go too crazy.

The standard 185/60/14 is pretty balloon like. Not sure how much fatter to go before it looks silly or rubs on lock. Why not go down to 13" wheels if it's the look you're after

Can't fit 13" wheels over 1.8 brakes.

Yeah, 13s defo won't fit over the brakes.

Not thinking about going too silly. I'm due a new set of tyres in the not so distant future and chewing over my options...

14s can look good, especially if you go for wider than stock to get the balloon look but the tyre choice is more limited than with 15s.

Just pump your existing tyres up a lot more.

I like the fat tyre look too. I used to run 225/50R15 on my TR7. Trouble with this size these days is price and lack of tread patterns. 205/50R15 can be less than half the price and with a much bigger choice of tyres.

I think BFG Radial T/A's are still available. Nice retro tyre.

So if I do 195 or 205 on the same 60 profile, will if bugger up the handling? I can't see anything rubbing as there is a lot of space in the arches...

Standard 14" rim.

The guy from Evo hasput Dunlop Sport BluResponse tyres on his Fast Fleet Eunos. His car is on 14" wheels too. He seems happy with them so far.

Looks like they're just under £50 each from Kwik Fit.
