Hi Guys, a lot of us new owners on here the last couple of months and I think the cars are finally getting some recognition for the fantastic cars that they are.
I know a few of us are kent / SE located.
Would anyone be interested in a meet up for lunch with the cars or maybe a trip to France as either a day trip to Le Touquet for lunch and or maybe a stopover.
I know a great road to Le Touquet, and also a chateau (nothing grand) that is on the border with Belgium and the old road circuit of camay.
Equally for those north based I have no idea but maybe someone knows somewhere in the middle (Donnington) ?
Not a race or drinking contest but chance to meet up and share stories over some nice food and good company.

I guess we are looking at end of August but many may have plans already or once kids back at school mid September time, obviously weather dependant.

Any interest ?

I think Mclaren owners need something like this. Whilst the Mclaren arranged do's are good, it'd be nice to arrange less formal social events for owners.
Duggan organised Silverstone last weekend and it was good to meet a fellow brand "convert"! Interestingly we were discussing what do you buy after having owned a Mclaren?
The consensus was there's only one choice, another one ;-)
Anybody interested in arranging something around the Midlands with me, please drop me a PM

I'd be up for it but I can't make early September.
I've already had 2 European jaunts in my Mac in the last couple of months and it's huge fun!

I'd be interested in a local meet or a run to Europe..
I'm Midlands based Andy, so interested...
next weekend is Bruntingthorpe and then Prescott Revival, so I'll certainly be giving mine a run out in the next couple of weeks.

London based but would be interested in a meet. Europe trip would be fun too(and cheaper than mclaren organised one!). I know RUF did/do a yearly rally for their car owners consisting of a lot of road driving to several nice hotels. Shame I never did one with them. Anyway, a short France trip would be nice

There's a bunch of us who are all mainly 'old' owners are meeting for a trackday (road cars only, limited to max 120 cars) at the Ring in early sep. if anyone is interested I can check in with my friend who has organised this one whether there might be spaces but not 100% sure if the trackday spaces are filled already.

I am Kent based and would be up for meeting late August or mid Septembre.

I am also planning to attend the Red Bull Air Race in Ascot on 15-16 August. Anyone else fancy meeting up there ?
May be we can do something with the dealership there ?

Longer term, a couple of owners (Astons) and me are looking to go to Monza next year for the F1 GP.

Great idea. I am full with holiday, weddings and goodwood revival, so that takes me out till mid Sept, but great idea arranging some meets

I am certainly game for this. I am doing a run down to the Alps in a couple of weeks but free back end of Aug/early Sep.

Trust you are enjoying your holiday Paul?

For weekends away, I am hampered by commitments to the new football season (kids!) but can make Saturday's and early morning breakfast runouts. I daresay there won't be one weekend that suits all, but am sure there will be other occasions. Rules are nice pics to be posted when you do go! smile

Hi SELON - is that every Sunday or is there one date that you don't play ?
I dare say we could do a day trip if thinking France one Saturday or maybe the BH Monday ?
Sure we can find a date that suits majority.

I'd be up for a meet after picking my VO 12C up last Friday. Wozza of this forum also picked his up recently, but coincidentally we'll both be on the Petrolhead Nirvana Alps trip from 5th - 13th Sept inc, if that has any bearing on choice of dates for a meet.

It's every Sunday from the start of September...and I'm the manager as well smile

I should have it just before the BH weekend. So a day out on BH weekend sounds good! I've pencilled Monday in the diary.

Fairly sure I'm free but need to check calendar at home.
Anyone else able to do BH Monday ?
Thinking maybe lunch in Le Touquet or similar.
