We have had an outage over the last hour due to a failure with a blade server in Carrenza. They have failed over to a new blade and we have now cleared up all the resultant backing up of requests to get back online.

Sorry all it took so long!

Silly question

Why doesn't it fail over automatically?

I'm assuming these are all virtual boxes.

I'm still getting the "page down" screen whenever I click on "my stuff" - is that related?

Unless this has changed since I left, that'll be a cache issue which will clear up shortly.

Up and down still for me.

Connection refused if accessing forums directly or via the front page.

Taken me 7 attempts to get this page up to post.

Same here. Can't enter from the PH main page "forum" heading. I came to this page by a kind of back door (ooh er) route.

My thought too. Should be near-on instantaneous?

All should be cleared by now - so if still getting issues let me know.

As to instantaneous fail over, I am currently investigating with the hosting company what exactly went wrong - as it was major enough to take down a lot of client sites (including their own site) I suspect it is not as simple as a standard issue which is handled by automated fail overs.

I made a thread in General Gassing > Roads > "Critique my route to Tuscany..." at 12:55, it looks like it was created but if you click in you get

ERROR

The requested URL could not be retrieved

Shall I be patient or re-create?

Try this link instead, and see if it works - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

If so, then it is still cached for some reason with the error - will need to look into why it is not refreshing if the case.

It's misbehaving again. I am having trouble accessing the forums through the main menus. The only way I got here was by a route through "My Profile".

Hmmm... there is a release going on at the moment - I'm out of the office so will need to find out what is going on. - Hold on.

Can't get to any forums with Big Blue skin (500 errors), had to change to Beta 2 - now working OK.

...except now I can't change back, it seems. Awesome frown

More like an escape, judging by the quality of what I'm seeing.

As another example I can't get into website feedback or Mazda forums directly. (ETA make that any forums), but I can however click on relevant thread titles in the What's New list.
