Differential issue

Having replaced the complete suspension. Just pulled the drive shafts out and the piece from the cv joint to the diff has come out by 5cm...does it slot back in or am I going to dismantle the diff? Help please

I think they just push back in

Push back in, you should hear a click.

Only time I have had to be recovered was when I was messing with the suspension, changed a wishbone and hadn't noticed the driveshaft had come out, pushed it back in and all good.
