50 mph 24/7 A14 Hunts to Cambs

As title: Brake, inspired by the 50mph limit in recent roadworks, want the lower limit made permanent and extend all the way to Huntingdon...
(Local news tonight).
Local deadhead councillor conflates the apparent risk reduction with noise levels. Punters at services interviewed in day time kinda not bothered as its usually going 30mph anyway (but not at night obviously).
Its a mess, the pressure group has too much influence. Common sense does not get a look in.
Did the magic ASC's stop working all of a sudden: thought they were an amazing breakthrough. FFS
These limit changes are so obviously ridiculous: when its busy the road hardly moves, crashes happen anyway: how does slowing the thing down when its finally safe to drive on it actually help??????
I hope this is just a slow news day item and simply buggers off shortly.
