It must be time for another breakfast meeting at The Touchdown Cafe, Wellesbourne Airfield.

Can I suggest August 22nd, meeting there at 08:30 ish, ready for doors opening at 09:00.

The full address for those that have not been before is

Wellesbourne Mountford Airfield
Loxley Lane
Wellesbourne
Warwickshire
CV35 9EU

The breakfast at the cafe is very good, so much so that some people drive hundreds of miles to join in.

If time permits, I will try and organise a route for a post breakfast drive - unless one of the locals is up for organising that. Failing that you are free to go off and explore the local area, visit the market at the airfield, or just go home.

I will be open and honest up front. I have sold the S and gone to the dark side, so will be there with my Chimaera 500.

Please add your name to the list below if you intend to join us. I will contact the cafe in advance to give them an idea of numbers.

Should be able to make it for breakfast but probably won't be hanging around for a "run" afterwards.

Any further takers for this?

I cannot organise a post breakfast run as we have visitors coming over to see us later in the day.

Any objections if I advertise this outside of the PH S forum. I was thinking about putting it on to the East Mids TVR CC forum, and possibly the Warwickshire and West Mids forum.

The list so far is

I was just looking at page two in order to bump...

For the inexperienced, the breakfast is worth the walk never mind the drive!

I'm hopeful of being there, if my new kitchen is installed

I'll confirm the week before.

Hi Niiige, you don't need a kitchen in your S4, at the Touchdown Cafe they cook the breakfast for you and bring it to your table. yum

P.S. You don't even need to bring a washing up bowl, they do the dishes when you've finished. So far, I haven't needed to use my rubber gauntlets once at Wellesbourne. smile

scratchchin However, in the worst case scenario, you could always ask Simon to bring his Splitty along with a large supply of bacon as a backup plan.

Hi Glen,

Now you mention it, the kitch-amaera conversion is a bad idea. I was over thinking it !!

I feel such a fool !!

Hopefully picking up my Chimaera a week today, a break of 25 years or so since my 3000M!
Shame the run isn't on a Sunday as I can't do Saturday but will be looking for excuses to go for a blast.

Ah, the Kitch-amaera conversion, eh?
Is that the one by Southways with the stainless twin drainers and ceramic hobs? It just doesn't sit well on an S, even though Phillpot may be contemplating it because of the precious metal content ( with substantial clever modifications of course wink )
Best leave it to the DarkSiders methinks and preserve the purity of S-ence of our beloved breed.

Hi Maz, and welcome to the S Series forum wavey You have just found the friendliest, warmest and most helpful forum on Pistonheads. If you have any S-related problems, this is the place for help and advice and friendly banter.

Now all you need to do is swap your Chimp for an S! wink
