Thought this might throw up some interesting cars. Two simple rules:

1. To make it slightly more accessible, if you really can't find a car from your birth year that ignites a passion then you can shift one year either way i.e. if you were born in 1990 you can dip into 1989 or 1991.

2. If you can find a PH ad for your car of choice, chuck it in to keep the PH boys and girls happy wink

I'll start the ball rolling. I'm a 1963 young 'un and there were a fair few beauties 'born' in that year - from the humble Ford Cortina GT and Corsair through to the wonderful 'birth-car' of Lamborghini - the delectable 350 GT.

For me though, the toss up is between two iconic and drop dead gorgeous sports coupes. Ferrari 250 GT Lusso...

...or the iconic Aston DB5 Vantage.

Aston gets it. Just. And in this 'de-bumpered' form it is simply stunning.

1963 here so it has to be the 911.

I'm of 1973 vintage so quite a choice, I am however going to choose a car I have owned, just because I enjoyed owning it so much. A Triumph Dolomite Sprint.

Jenson Interceptor

Jaguar xj; preferably the V12. Not sure that this one is, but its a great colour.

1955 build here, the Riley RM series. A few good ones still about and affordable.

I was born the same year and for me it wasn't a great year for car launches so I will go with the Ferrari BB but there isn't much greatness to choose from and I wish I was younger because cars certainly got a lot better I think in the 80`s and 90`s.

I was born in 1977.

It would have been too easy to go for an Escort RS1800.

Also very easy to pick the LP400 Countach, in it's lovely un-bodykitted form.

I've chosen a true icon from that year instead. Simply "THE TURBO!!"

Tough choice;

1988 has to be the R32 GTR

But I could dip into 1987 and choose the F40 ....

I was born in 1984, there really is only one choice from a pretty poor year - Ferrari 288 GTO cloud9clap

The 80s was probably the worst decade in motoring history but this is quite acceptable:

Unbelievable that this was unveiled in 1967:

Still looks fresh today. Other than that the Jensen Interceptor FF as above rocks my world.

1971, a vintage year for a fine British motorcar.

1971 Maserati Bora, or the Mercedes R107 SL. Or the Alpina 310. Or the Ferrari GTS/4 "Daytona". Or even an Alfasud!!

Choices choices.

One of the (many) reasons I've owned 3 of them. 1957 Lotus 7 was born, as was I.
