Battery clamp, quick question

I had to change the battery sometime ago and snapped the bolt that secures the clamp to the body of the car frame, the end of this bolt is still in the frame. There is also a metal hook type rod thing that secures the other side, this also snapped in half. Anyway i used a belt as a temp fix, and it passed an mot last year with this and it was fine. However this years no good and got an mot fail for insecure battery.

Would something like this be tight enough for this job?

Like a ratchet strap tie down. I imagine it should be ok as long as the battery is secure and the method not interfering with anything else?

Would something like that work.

Cant really afford the hours labour to get the bolt drilled out and retapped. Such a poxy job as well for an hours labour.

What do you reckon people?

No that won't do, You need to fix it properly.
Not just to satisfy an MOT, in an accident an insecure battery can not only leak but start a fire.

A ratchet tie down would secure the battery (if i can get it tight enough), mot guy even tried tightening the belt during the test so as long as its secure, i reckon it should be fine ill have to have a word with him tomorrow, see what he says.
