North Coast 500 Road Trip, Pals Wanted!

Me and the Gf are taking my TVR Tuscan round the North Coast 500 over 2 days on the 15th and 16th of August. If anyone wants to tag along for all or some of the drive please feel free to be our playmates!! We'll be leaving Inverness first thing on sat the 15th and staying in Ullapool at night.

Hotels wise I am just staying at the basic Caledonian hotel in Ullapool (not quite half way round but I felt it was better to stay somewhere I could get food and a pint on the Saturday night.

Djdan I am quite heavily involved with the North Coast 500 if you require any info just PM me.
Just for info we have Mark Beaumont the endurance cyclist doing it..he is attempting to do the 500 miles in 40 hours!!!

Also Dan Trent from Pistonheads is currently doing a road test on the North Coast 500 with the new MX5 right now

Thats keen going but probably doable considering the lejog record pace. Am looking forward to just getting the Tuscan out on a good run, hopefully she will behave hersel (and the car too )

Are you going clockwise or anti clockwise...have you checked out the North Coast 500 interactive map?

Clockwise. Is there an official car time record been set yet? Obv sticking to the speed limits....like the scottish cannonball run

The folk behind this concept do not want to make it a race track so consequently there is no desire to compile the time taken to complete

I really want to do this..

I pick up my new m5 end of sep and tempted to do this maybe mid October if anyone fancies it?

Not sure it's a good or bad way to reach the 1200 mile run in service in a weekend??

I wont be going quick was just interested! Me and the mrs decided that its prob just aswell were doing it ourselves because she will want to stop every 2 mins to take pictures! GoPro is set up on the car too!! Just pray for dry weather
