Speeding in Scotland
Discussion
Might have been done today in Scotland on motorway. Saw the camera from as far away as would have been possible whilst I was still on a slight bend but once you have seen them they have got you?
Lets say i was doing 90 what could I expect, never had points before so happy to take it on the chin just curious about Scotland as they don't go a bundle on speeding it seems!
Was almost worth it to have driven through Glenshee a few times in all weathers. Amazing roads

Where was it? Several locations on A74(M) as you head south are tricky as they are immediately after long curves or crests so you don't see them until you're too late, that's how they catch a lot of folk along there - you can spot those who do the Dumfries and Galloway bit regularly as the flow at quiet times is 85-95 everywhere except in the vicinity of the spots they are known to park up.

Camera Alert from http://www.pocketgpsworld.com/ helped me immensely recently in this area.Re:- figures above, tolerance levels have all changed as well going by media reports.

Breamar to Blarigowrie is epic, isn't it? Driven all over the country and I can never get enough of that road. I always warm people coming up to Scotland that once you hit the border don't assume you can do the speeds everyone does on the motorway in England. I got done for 80 on a motorway in Scotland then was surprised to find that driving down to a friends near Wales last year that in England no one seemed to be going less than 80. Do that here and you'd be banned in no time. And the latest plans from the mornons running things up here are that for even a few mph over the limit you'll get an official warning and get caught a few mph over again and it'll be points because as we all know the safest drivers on the road are the ones who concentrate 100% on their speedometers....
