What's the best thing to do for "on event" insurance if the car you compete in is your road car?

You can either arrange event cover with someone like Competition Car Insurance, or arrange your road policy through someone who also provides track cover such as Pace Ward.

There's Grove and Dean. I think the G&D dude might post on here sometimes.

You will clearly need a competition policy not a track day one.

I am the aforementioned "G&D Dude" !!

Yes, if you wish to have cover for the Hillclimbing, then you will require competition insurance. Track day insurance isn't suitable where there is an element of competition/timing.

I'll be honest with you, its not really our bag. I would try www.REIS.co.uk who have a good handle on this type of thing.
