Just seeing the recaps...

For me, worst dance was Carol, best was Peter. Honourable mention for Call The Midwife Lady (I'm sure I will commit her name to memory soon).

Those stairs were designed for Jamelia! Genius.
I think those stairs are going to work wonders for a few of the ladies this year tbh. Jamelia, Carol, Georgia and Oti.

Without sounding like a perv obviously........

Does everyone who fancies Carol have an Oedipus complex? Maybe 30 years ago

Peter Andre was an absolute country mile ahead of the rest, but there's massive potential for Katie Dereham, the guy from The Wanted, Anita Countryfile and the midwife. On the first showing there seems to be a lot fewer weaker celebs than in the last series. Next week's dance off will hopefully be the Irish crooner and the frumpy weatherwoman.

Yes, I think we can see the deadwood already, daft voting apart, but the top 5 have shone. This, Guys, could be a good stand-off for weeks to come.

Not a chance. The Crooner has an absolutely massive following and will get the public vote every week until he gets into a dance-off and the judges can sling him out.

I did say hopefully! He and the frumpy weatherwoman are definitely streets behind the rest - even Jeremy Vine showed a bit of enthusiasm. The crooner has all the charisma of beige and the frumpy weatherwoman looks as though the most important thing to her is whether her husband approves of her dancing with another man or not.

The show will infinitely improve once these two get the elbow.

Can't understand it, mutton dressed as mutton.
I watch her weather report every morning and must admit to finding her strangely alluring (and I'm only just over 30). Her voice is nice and soothing, perhaps that helps. That and the big boobs. I suppose.

Admittedly in the company of the other ladies of strictly, and considering her dreadful dance skills as well, she really didn't look that great last night!

Agree with your selection, though I'd include the lass from Corrie too. The chap from The Wanted always manages to look more terrified than the others somehow smile

It's a bit premature to say "always" when they've all only done one dance, plus a group dance, isn't it?

It's early days. Give them all a chance. At least until next week.

Fair comment. But he looked terrified in the intro programme a couple of weeks ago too smile (can't blame him though, I doff my cap to anyone who puts themselves up for this irrespective of their abilities).

Well, not all of us are twenty... rolleyes

You won't be one day and leching are 20 year olds will just make you look like Peter Stringfellow biggrin

Anyway, I was impressed (in a number of ways) by Katie Derham.

I see your point to a degree but there's a middle ground. As you mention, Katie is nice. Carole is just too mummy

Who knew Father Ted was married to Sue Pollard? Although he's a far better dancer than I ever expected.

Noticed the wife tagged along keeping an eye on him.
