I tried turning it but the headlights still worked so not sure.
It looks like one of thesehttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Battery-Master-Isolator-...
Try removing it to kill the power.
Ok I tried again and you're right, it was a key that came all the way out but unfortunately the doors and lights still worked when it was fully removed. I guess it's not connected up, to check this I would have to remove the front wheel? Thought my winter battery problems were nearly solved for a minute.

Have you got a charger? I always plug it in when I parked up. The battery will be drained after two weeks of idling (in my case anyway). IF Only the Winters would only last that long!!!ruggy said:
Yeah I have a charger, it's a bit awkward because the car is on the drive so an battery isolator might have been easier.
Oh I see. Well make sure your new isolator can be accessed from an outside of the car at a secrete place. Otherwise, it will be a pain to get access to the car or you have to leave your boot or doors permenantly opened. Or just reading your posts again, was it an intention that the isolator you have right now just cut off the immobilisor (which is the reason for draining the battery) and the engine. The door/ lights can still work, so you can still get in and out? Just a thought. Have you try to start the engine with the key out?
