Thanks. I have looked at this one already, its a very nice car if a little expensive. I'm not that keen on Gt3's in azure blue. My ideal spec would be.. Late dash, lightweight seats. yellow or orange, low miles and no spoiler. This ones to keep this time!

It also looks in extremely good condition too, thats probably why it seems to be expensive, i doubt it will hang about for very long, in that condition.

Thanks all for your help so far.

I like the grey Gt3 but a little high on miles. Love the sport 350. not sure how I would go about inspecting it and bringing it in to the country. Vat, import duty, sva??

maybe its a bit the same as in the Netherlands?
not sure, but if the car was also registered in the UK before...its not such problem and no tax or so to pay I guess? maybe someone who imported a car back to the UK knows more around that.

guess you have to know first if it was registered before in the UK (I think so), maybe ask the current owner, or maybe there's a ex owner on PH :-)

Vs other sports cars of that era I would say it's a very good price.

My understanding is there are 123 older dash vs 73 new dash GT3's produced. So if you take the latter number, restrict to just 2 colours, low miles, good condition, sports seats and no rear wing ,you could be waiting a fair while ?

It took me 2 years to find a decent low mileage one.

Yes thanks point taken. That is still my ideal spec but will adjust if I have to, but hopefully not on all aspects. The search goes on. Thanks all so far.

I contacted the owner last month and he informed me that the Esprit had 8 previous owners and was a CATD and had been in 2 serious accidents which involved rear suspension and engine replacement.
I appreciated his honesty which saved me a flight to Germany.

I have a few GT3'3 lined up now so I will have a look and keep my fingers crossed.

Isn't there a red gt3 @ silver stone lotus?

Only prob here - the car was on lotus4sale @ £2250, sold 2 or 3 months back and pops up at £29995.

Don't think it needed a C service and was immaculate apart from head lights corroding a little.

But £7k adder vs what it sold for?

Yes thanks I know that car. I nearly bought it last year, but really had my eye on something else at the time so hadn't got my heart in it.( a box I needed to tick first, Done now) I could of had it at 20k and the last owner paid 20k so although its one of the best ones out there and low miles too I still think its over priced?

There's one on Lotusespritworld at the moment for £15K, have you seen this?
I was thinking of buying it myself at that price!

Yes thanks I have seen that. I want a car to keep this time and I just can't fall in love with a green Esprit.

I have emailed you a few times in the past to buy your car, so if you have changed your mind........PM me.
