Darren Wood in Stockport is excellent and well known on the M forums. I doubt you'll read a bad word about him.

As already mentioned, Darren Wood in Bredbury Stockport, best Indy I have ever used, known him about 10 yrs now, wouldn't take any of my Cars anywhere else, known people to come from as far as Scotland and London to have their cars serviced there. We're really lucky to have such a great garage on our doorstep!

If you're further north then I recommend www.autotecnik.co.uk staffed by ex Derek Woodman BMW guys, they have full main dealer level diagnostics and are hooked up to Munich.

Charged me as much as a dealer to service my 123d and didn't bother cleaning the car. Not been back to since.

Hopefully not against naming and shaming rules but after speaking to a few different garages there is a reason why it is staffed by ex Derek Woodman guys.

If you are on the Fylde I can recommend BMW, Blackpool Motor Works in Lytham. They have always given me good service.
