A recent wedding I went to there was a Dino and an xk120 (both owned by a father of one of the ushers) and a 550marenello (owned by the father of the groom).
What did the bride turn up in (I hear you ask)?
A 1.6 08 plate golf diesel....
Her excuse was it was practical- whid want to be climbing out of an old sports car, hair and makeup ruined, with no space for flowers or the trail.

I've done 3 over the years as favours for friends.
First was my white e92 M3 for the bride.
Second was my 1930 Model A Phaeton for the bride. Ended up giving kids rides for over an hour after the ceremony. Kids love vintage cars.
Third was my 458 Spider for the groom who I didn't know (friend of a neighbour) and it was a complete surprise for him. I let him drive the last bit up the private drive of the country house that was the venue. I'm told he talked about nothing else throughout the wedding day much to the annoyance of his new wife. :-)
Pleased to say they're all still married (7 years, 3 years and 4 months respectively).

We have this 1935 Hillman Minx booked for our wedding in April next year.
We also plan to have my dad's Brough Superior, BSA v-twin and 1924 Montgomney motorbikes at the venue, plus my father in law to be's Healey 3000 too. Couldn't work out how to incorporate them so they'll be static guards of honour
I really wanted us to ride on our '28 Royal Enfield sidecar outfit but we're not having a church wedding, and everything's at one venue so couldn't work out how to do it. Plus she'd probably get covered in grease

I have done several for a friend when he is busy , mainly in Bentleys , firstly in a Mulsanne Turbo in green then a Mulsanne Turbo R in dark blue and the most popular ? A grey Rover 3 ltr P5 .
Easy work for a couple of hours on a Saturday , best tippers are either end of the social spectrum , the worst I have found were the snotty pair who slagged off most of their 'guests' whilst I moved them from the church to the reception .They were both Head teachers .

We had a mk2 Jag and a 420 for our wedding quite a few years ago now! Owner of both used his xj40 to ferry us from venue to hotel after the reception too
Never have owned a Jag but they were in lovely condition and seemed a bit less naff than the appallingly painted white Rolls most of the local outfits were offering in the early noughties!
Have chauffeured for a mate in his Lexus LS - but only because the clutch failed the week before on the '20s era car I was supposed to be driving, which belonged to his dad. The Rolls they also used burned through a whole tank of fuel in less than a 50 miles due to carb issues and required the groom to do some pushing!
Never have owned a Jag but they were in lovely condition and seemed a bit less naff than the appallingly painted white Rolls most of the local outfits were offering in the early noughties!

Just about to take the plunge (12th Sept), alas despite both being petrol heads our initial car plans have fallen apart somewhat. However as we can't make it this year (the first year I've missed) we are going slightly Revival themed instead 
The original intention was to have our own A35 as a wedding car which fitted the vintage theme, alas too much work was required given the time scale and so with great sadness we've had to shelve that idea.
A friend was then going to drive us in his classic Aston not long restored, alas that is now undergoing a full engine rebuild and so is unlikely to be ready. Meaning we're probably going to be in my other halves Beetle that she restored as neither of my projects are finished. Nothing against Beetles nor her handiwork but I was personally hoping for something a little more 'special' for our wedding day. I haven't given up yet though and the feelers are out!
If any PH'ers with classics who are not at the revival on the 12th are in the vicinity of Chiddingstone Causeway/Penshurst/Groombridge/Frant (route to reception venue) on the 12th September and fancy joining for an impromptu classic convoy or simply to wave us past, we should be leaving the church c1.30pm. Would make a superb sight!

When LadyB8 and I were married the wedding car was a gorgeous 1929 Rolls Royce called Florence which was amusing as that had been my nickname for the good lady before we became an item.

Slightly less well received was my 2.5litre Vitesse Convertible. I was building it from a saloon whilst unemployed and had the car rebuilt on a new chassis but in about eight different colours. Being somewhat impecunious at the time me and the groom set to with brushes and a big pot of matt black paint - come the big day I ferried the bride and her best friend to the registry office whilst the groom's parents refused to be either seen with or photographed with it!

My fiance has said (since about the age of 10-11) that when she gets married, she was going to the church in her mum and dads Austin A35. It has been off the road and on blocks for about 15years. They have owned it for about 40 years.
At Christmas when I asked her to marry me, her dad almost had a heart attack, not because I asked her, but because he actually has to get the Austin going!
So we WILL be having the Austin A35 as our wedding car. I will take along the Lomax too.
