I have had a nip for 94mph on a motorway 70mph I have received the nip stating £100 fin 3 penalty points and to sent payment and cheque off, the offence code on the form is RR84019 when I called my insurance up to add the offence and gave them the code they said there database does not include that type of speeding offence and it should be in the form of SP30 SP40 up to SP70 they are baffled at the RR84019 code

The guy at the insurance also said he could not add it to my policy until I have sent my licence off to the police and had it back, he also said that I need not have informed them about the points until the renewal date, I have always thought you had to tell them straight away?

It's normally an SP50 from what I recall. That RR84019 is an offence code, not the code for the endorsement.

Exactly what I thought, finding it odd that it says "offence code RR84019" shall I call SAFERESSEX tomorrow before I send it off of just sent the cheque and licence off

Offence code is used for charging/processing until an appropriate penalty has been awarded by whatever means are appropriate - I believe Kent & Essex share the same coding scheme : http://www.kent.police.uk/about_us/policies/operat...

Not gonna lie I kinda want to get one of those on my license. Would make for a good story. That and "DD90".

Technically I've had several SP50 offences but they always put SP30 down . Work that out.

The number part of the code is nothing to do with the speed (the speed limit on the motorway isn't 70mph for everyone)
